Mark Zuckerberg comments on the virtual reality ping pong
The founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, has launched the idea that Facebook could create a virtual reality ping pong game. The CEO showed off a new demo that will allow people to play games even if they are not in the same room, by simply using their hands. Toy Box, the manufacturer of this demo, has created other games in the past, but Zuckerberg states that this is one of the most realistic and intense games that actually made him feel like he was playing ping pong with a friend in the same room. Besides using your hands to hit the ping pong ball back and forth, you can also turn gravity up and down and change the place where you play, like underwater or space. Although Oculus is not the first device to offer customers the ability to play motion-controlled games, the experience offered by Oculus is far more advanced than the other gadgets. Zuckerberg hasn’t been clear whether or not Facebook and Oculus will cooperate in creating this virtual ping pong game, but he did leave room for speculations.
